Photography Gear: Newer TT560 flash

The Newer TT560 Speedlite is a flash for your Nikon or Canon camera equipped with a hot-shoe. I bought this flash to use as an off camera flash with a radio trigger or use its on-board optical flash. This flash is very basic but that’s what I like about it, it has everything you need to get started with off camera flash. I have both Nikon SB-600 and SB-700 and I can say it compliments them both by matching their power output pretty well. You can’t really complain about an off camera flash for $34 off Amazon, my only suggestion is you should buy at least one of your camera manufactures speedlites before you get this flash.

What this stuff on the side is an optional plug-in power jack on the left and a pc port on the right.

Its back has very basic controls and easy to navigate.

This is a size comparison with my Nikon SB-700 and you can see that the Newer speedlite is a little bigger with less complicated controls.

*Note: Lucky you if you read on to this point, optical flash or optical slave means any other flash this speedlite sees in slave mode will triggers it. So, even a point and shoot will trigger it with no extra stuff.
