Photo Gear: Secret Spy Lens

This fine piece of stalker gear is suppose to let you look inconspicuous while walking around the streets or where ever you snap photos. When I first saw it on, I thought it was brilliant and had to get it. There is a mirror built on a angle in the metal tube that allows your camera to auto-focus. It threads onto your lens looking like it belongs there and rotates right or left as you need it to.

How you are suppose to use it is by putting your hand of over the hole and when your subject comes into distance you unblock the mirror and bang, no one noticed a thing.

The problem for me is I feel like a creep ball when I use it. The pictures do come out sharp and clean with a small amount of distortion. If you know me then you know I can ninja your photo without you evening knowing. I got it thinking it was going to add to my arsenal but I ended up using it only twice. For me it takes too much time position it right spot and feel awkward using it. If your secure with taking someone’s picture without their permission and being respectful of deleting the picture if they want you to then don’t buy this. I would recommend it if  you want a toy to play with but maybe not if you want to gain social confidence with photography.
